Families Must Sign Up Bus Riders

Families Must Sign Up Bus Riders

Families of FCPS students who plan to ride a bus to school in 2025-26 should register their intentions with the district as soon as possible. Our Transportation Department’s new routing system requires that students sign up in advance so that FCPS can assign bus routes to registered riders before classes begin in August.

Updating your student’s transportation needs now is crucial for a smooth start to the school year. It allows FCPS staff to plan bus routes and share the details before the first day of school.

By Aug. 3, please follow these steps to register your bus rider(s):

  1. Log in to Campus Parent.*
  2. Click Online Registration on the bottom right side.
  3. Click Start under Annual Update / New Student Registration.
  4. On the next screen, verify that your student(s) information is listed correctly and then click Begin Registration. Choose yes/no on whether the student needs bus transportation. Be sure to confirm your family’s household information and emergency contacts, too, so that our Infinite Campus records are current.
  5. Move through the steps to complete and submit the form.

For assistance, call (859) 422-2140.

* If you do not have an account or you need a username reminder or a password reset, please visit Campus Parent Support

Starting Aug. 6, please see your school’s registrar to sign up bus riders or get answers to any related questions.

After you have completed student data updates through Campus Parent, you can use our new School Bus Portal for direct access to your child's route details. See instructions and FAQ on the Transportation page.

For questions or assistance, please contact your child's school.

Note: Bus routes are subject to change anytime, especially during the early weeks of a new school year.  Families will receive an email if a transportation change affects their student -- provided the student is a registered bus rider.
